Niall joined the team at Oxford Analytica as Western Europe Analyst in October 2018.
Prior to joining, he worked for a geopolitical risk firm in London and for a public research institution in Prague. He has written extensively on politics and international relations for a number of online publications. He has an interest and expertise in the areas of nationalism and democracy in Western Europe, particularly in relation to Italy, Spain and Brexit. He has also written on political risk and security in Latin America.
Niall holds a BA International in History and Spanish from University College Dublin, and spent time at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in Santiago, Chile as part of the programme. He was awarded an MA in International Relations with first class honours from Leiden University, in the Netherlands. He speaks fluent Spanish and has a working knowledge of Italian.
